Katia Duke

Coffee has been in Katia's family for generations, but she's never been afraid to shake things up. Armed with an agronomy degree and a passion for innovation, she grows coffees that honor tradition while raising the bar with every harvest. After spending time as a café owner, barista, and roaster, Katia learned exactly what makes coffee lovers tick. Now she's putting that insight to work on her own experimental plots allowing us to help prove that her bold ideas are paying off.

Catuaí, Obatá

Catuaí and Obata are proof that great coffee has a family tree, and a bit of personality. Catuaí, developed through Brazilian breeding programs and embraced by Honduran farmers, has spent decades earning its reputation for dependable harvests and sweet, approachable cups. Obatá is the next generation. This hardy, disease-resistant descendant arrived ready to work, bringing resilience to the farm while producing vibrant, flavorful coffees. Together, they remind us that coffee history is full of clever matchmaking, happy accidents, and a few overachieving relatives.

PROCESSING

Dry Processed Natural

In the natural process, whole coffee cherries are carefully spread in thin layers on raised beds and turned frequently to ensure slow, even drying. This lot received meticulous attention throughout the process, preventing over-fermentation and preserving a delicate cup with refined sweetness, gentle fruit notes, and exceptional clarity rather than the bold, wine-like character often associated with natural coffees.
