Smallholder Farmers

SNAP Specialty Coffee established a state-of-the-art wet mill in Danche in 2019, empowering approximately 600 local farmers to efficiently process their premium red cherries. Located at elevations of 1,925–2,300 meters, these smallholder farms benefit from quick access to the mill—never more than a 40-minute journey—ensuring freshness and quality at every step. Under the expert leadership of Negusse Debela, the station has earned a reputation for producing exceptional, innovative coffee lots that stand out in today’s specialty market.

Ethiopian Landrace & JARC

Ethiopia’s coffee legacy shines through two remarkable categories: indigenous landrace varieties—often called “Heirloom”—and carefully developed JARC selections. With over 10,000 naturally evolved types, landraces deliver unmatched, vibrant flavor profiles shaped by centuries of terroir, while JARC varieties from the Jimma Agricultural Research Center combine resilience and productivity with Ethiopia’s signature cup quality. Together, they offer the perfect balance of wild complexity and dependable excellence for today’s specialty coffee market.

Traditional Washed

Meticulous processing begins with hand-sorting and flotation to ensure only the highest-quality cherries move forward, followed by carefully controlled fermentation that enhances clarity and flavor. A precise double-wash and slow drying on raised African beds complete the process, delivering exceptional consistency, balance, and a clean, vibrant cup profile.
