Ethiopia is the fabled birthplace of coffee where it’s history predates written record. Like humans, the first coffee plants descended from the ancient forests of Ethiopia. Farmers from the small communities in rural Ethiopia would trek through these forests in search of wild coffee plants. Whichever plant looking the heartiest to them, they would harvest cherries from to bring back to their farms and cultivate.

The people of Ethiopia consumed coffee as both a food and beverage for centuries before any outsider was able to taste it. To this day, coffee is still a major part of Ethiopia’s society and culture. Rest assured, our year round Ethiopian coffee is a great example of why it's origin founders fell in love with coffee and why it continues to be the world's most popular beverage.
